Armenian rock band Dorians aims at Eurovision with “This is our world”

This is perhaps not your typical Eurovision song, but as of today I have not seen better choices on offer to represent Armenia in Eurovision 2012 to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

This is one of those occasions that I agree with the Minister of Culture of Armenia Hasmik Poghosyan who expressed her support for the band saying that Dorians would represent Armenia the best.

According to Public TV, this year’s selection of both singer and the song would be done via internal committee. The results will be announced before 18 March.

I am among this band’s fans, and I do support Dorians to represent Armenia in Eurovision. Talented. Cute. With a message that I can sign for too. “This is our world”.

Lyrics of the song, as per Dorians Facebook page:

This is our world

When the time is right, we always run away,
Or retire
Flawing water shouldn't really be afraid
From a fire
Why we hurt someone
Only just for fun
Why we always have to run

Why don't we just live like people have to live,
Tell me people
Why don't we just try to see the light and believe

Stop the fire
Cut the wire
People of the world
No more running
No more crying
This is our world

Why we like to make
Always-same mistake
Our love is truly fake
Why don't we just live like people have to live,
Tell me people
Why don't we just try to see the light and believe?

Is it "Why we heart someone" or "Why we hurt someone"? And probably "flowing water" not "flawing water," yes?

Of course, you are right, Adrineh jan. I copy pasted the lyrics from their FB page.

Just amended "heart" to "hurt" as this was the most obvious typo. I will leave for now "flawing" until they change it. You never know, may be they meant as for 'passion', but I am almost certainly sure that they meant "flowing" :)

This song is so... crappy. Sorry. Don't think Armenia stands a chance again this year...
